US The total number of working women in the U.S. exceeded pre-pandemic levels in September.

In September, women recovered all 11.9 million jobs lost in the pandemic more than two years ago

The economy added 263,000 jobs in September.

Women filled 155,000 of those jobs,

A lot of jobs left in early 2020 - like restaurants and bars, education and health care - and are now bouncing back.

Women got the most jobs in education and health services.

9 out of 10 child care jobs are held by women,

And there are 102,400 less workers in this sector as compared to February 2020,

The Labor Department said on Friday that the unemployment rate had fallen from 3.7% to 3.5%,

which is reclaiming a 50-year low.
